THE CHALLENGE

 AAH were concerned about customer perceptions. As the largest pharmaceutical distributor of healthcare products and services in the UK, there was a feeling within the customer base that the size of the company meant the service was impersonable.

The calendar had to position AAH as an approachable supplier, reflect the balance between the size and scale of the company, as well as the benefits that this offered its customers. It would also establish a year-round AAH presence within a diverse range of over 3000 customer locations, which included pharmacies, hospitals, supermarkets, MOD locations and prisons.

The proposition

"AAH Pharmaceuticals is the largest, but most personable and dedicated distributor of pharmaceutical products and services in the UK."

While the project incorporated 12 creative ideas in a single piece of communications material, this claim became the core idea that drove the creative work. The final product combined strong statistical information (to highlight the benefits of AAH’s size) with visual twists to reinforce the approachability of the organisation.



The pill shaped calendar integrates the corporate colours and branding of AAH, within an unusual visual format. This format was chosen over a more traditional square calendar to stand out and represent the core offering of the business, while being visually recognisable and relevant to the recipient.

The results

The strength of the final concept allowed AAH to maximise sales opportunities whilst instilling visible sales messages within customer locations, all year round. The ‘look and feel’ of the calendar was so successful it became a template for further integrated campaigns across DM and Digital.
