To produce a video which creatively introduced Delphi’s DS350e diagnostic tool to technicians. The video would be the first in a series and would form the template for style and branding, thereafter. Ultimately, the video’s purpose was to encourage technicians to use the DS350e tool, which would also feature in an article, in TechTalk Issue 3 (a global publication, also created by the agency for Delphi).
The proposition
"Be at the forefront of technology with Delphi."
With the core target audience for this video being garage level technicians it made sense to have a Delphi training technician introduce the DS350 and demonstrate the product.
To make the film as visually stimulating as possible, part of the shoot involved a green screen to allow the use of motion graphics in post-production.
These graphics were specially designed for the video to reflect the TechTalk
brand identity.
The results
To date there has been an incredibly positive response from the target audience. The film took centre stage on the stand at this year’s Equip Auto, a pan-European automotive trade show held in Paris. This meant additional versions of the film were dubbed, as well as subtitled, in French. The next stage of TechTalk’s growth will involve the development of an app for mobile platforms.
